In 1994 I spent two weeks photographing the Isle of Man TT race. As I recall eleven riders lost their lives that fortnight. A combination of the competitors themselves, and the supporters who sped around the island when the races weren’t taking place.

Even now I’ve never been on a motorbike. I’m sure it’s a wonderful experience, a bit like shark dodging (surfing) I think I’ll leave it to others.
